High-performance portfolio and tips & tricks on the subject of air suspension.

Automechanika Frankfurt is considered the most important trade fair internationally for the automotive aftermarket sector. From 11th to 15th September 2018, a total of 4,843 companies from the areas of equipment, parts, accessories etc. presented their innovations in Frankfurt. At our Stand B40 in Hall 6.0, we presented our complete portfolio and were available to our customers and partners with BILSTEIN suspension and sales professionals.

True to our Automechanika motto, “Air suspension and OE replacement? Only from the pioneer!” At the Automechanika 2018 we place modern air suspension at centre focus. And of course there is a good reason for this. The business in air suspension and air suspension modules is indeed tightening up: Since the technology has now been available for some years, particularly in cars of the premium class, defects and wear have been occurring in the meantime in appreciable number.

As pioneers in the area of air suspension, jointly with Mercedes-Benz in 1997, we brought the air suspension module to series-production. Since then we have been further developing the technology with all car manufacturers of repute. This know-how is now also available in the aftermarket. We have two products on offer for OE replacement: The BILSTEIN B4 air suspension module and our BILSTEIN B3 air suspension.

The BILSTEIN B4 air suspension module is the only air suspension in the OE replacement segment in uncompromising, original-equipment quality. The air suspension modules are based on technology from the original equipment experience of BILSTEIN and offer 100% identical quality and performance. At the Automechanika, we show how an air suspension module is structured and which model varieties are available, with several exhibits of the most varied vehicle applications. At centre stage is the current Mercedes-Benz C Class (W205) with the BILSTEIN B4 air suspension module.

As well as the BILSTEIN B4 air suspension modules, we have in the program the BILSTEIN B3 air suspension, which is also an attractive OE replacement solution for vehicles where air spring and damper are installed separately. This construction design is frequently found for example in older super-class cars with rear axle air suspension.

Because free workshops in the past were confronted almost exclusively with classical “steel suspension” designs, fear of contact often still exists in the upkeep of air suspension modules. For this reason, we have for years passed on our extensive experience in the area of air suspension to receptive motor vehicle professionals. Also at the Automechanika: At our stand there are experts from the BILSTEIN Training Department available to all prospective customers for questions and answers. At our stand, with the aid of our exhibits and an axle model, we give valuable practical tips on working with air suspension and air suspension modules. In addition, we inform about our popular and practical training courses.

Synchronously with the Automechanika, we are also starting a workshop roadshow on the subject of air suspension. With our BILSTEIN Sales Team, we want to offer even more support to workshops and trade. For example, by the appropriation of important information, the removal of any fears of contact and with extensive sales support.
