Bilstein Racer, Keegan Kincaid, Has Big Weekend With 2 Wins At The Big House in Crandon

The tradition of short course off road racing at Crandon International Raceway is a something to be celebrated every Labor Day. This legendary track is a true crown jewel in the off road world attracting all the big name racers to Crandon with the hopes and aspirations to take home a victory. Pro 2WD Racer Keegen Kincaid thrilled his hometown crowd to beat up on the competition and scored a big weekend with 2 race wins and a 2nd place finish in Pro 2 World Championship Race.

The 49th Annual Crandon World Championship featuring four action packed days of racing brought in large crowds, fantastic weather and the who’s who of off road to the “Big House”. The talent was stacked with dozens of west coast pros challenging the short course royalty from the mid-west. On the line, the largest cash purse ever, bragging rights, and the prestigious title of Crandon World Cup Champion.

Kincaid, a local and 2016 Crandon Amsoil World Cup Champion, was up for the contest and revealed a special new livery for his #4 Vision Wheels / Traxxas Pro 2wd truck. From the get-go, Keegan was pushing quick speeds around the 1.3 mile course. Ending up 3rd fastest during Thursday’s second practice session, it looked like the truck was handling very well but there was still some more left on the table. Kincaid let Crandon know what the plan was on Friday easily taking the Round 7 race win.

Keegan, after a flawless top qualifying run, repeated success and went for the race win again on Saturday’s Round 8. Besting Chad Hord, and 17 other competitors, Kincaid made the pass for the lead on Lap 5. Equipped with all the best components like the Bilstein shock package, allows for Keegan to launch hundreds of feet off jump after jump and land into the red clay of Crandon without losing speed or momentum.

Sunday’s Crandon World Cup nearly saw Kincaid racing to victory with a triple win race weekend falling just short with a 2nd place podium finish for the Pro 2 Cup Race. Keegan would lead the entire event until the very last lap.

“The truck was fast and on fire all weekend long!” stated Kincaid. “Although we didn’t catch the win in the big cup race, I am very grateful to walk away with 2 wins and another 2nd place finish. It feels good when everything starts clicking together in sequence and Bilstein Shocks have been a part of that. I am thrilled to have joined forces with Bilstein & Keegan Kincaid Racing. They have already been a huge asset to our already winning program! Bilstein has given us the opportunity to go bigger and faster than ever before!”

Keegan Kincaid has now strung together five podium finishes and three race wins in a row after finishing in 2nd place during the Crandon World Cup and taking Round 7 & Round 8 victories of the Lucas Oil Mid West Short Course League.

The exhilarating land rush start, the racing thunder of Potawatomi Turn 1, the high speed drop off, rubbing elbows at the barn with the pros, the wild adventures in the zoo, and the legendary leap are all trademark features of Crandon International Raceway. Fans of short course off road racing call it the “Big House” and have come to love & respect Crandon for all its glory. Keegan Kincaid, is lucky enough to call it home. Look for Keegan to wow crowds at the Indianapolis 4 Wheel Jamboree Nationals as the Grand Marshal and performing demo exhibitions.
