BILSTEIN Racers Take on Elk River

Success in round two of LOMSCL!

The Lucas Oil Midwest Shortcourse League calendar kicked off last month at Crandon International Raceway. BILSTEIN Pro Buggy racer Trey D. Gibbs launched himself into the season with a podium sweep, securing the points lead going into round two at Elk River Motorsports Park.

“Super good first day out here at ERX Motor Park, we started 11th and worked my way through the pack to lead the race all the way to the checkered flag. Want to give a huge thanks to everyone who gets me out here each and every race weekend.”

With a Successful day one, Gibbs carried the momentum into day two, coming from deep in the pack to the front. “And the streak goes on! Had another amazing race starting 11th again and was able to grab the lead by the second corner. Ran a super smooth and consistent race bringing home another win making it the fourth win in a row.”

Ryan Beat buckled down in ProLite, and made his way to the podium on day two:

“P2 for today. It sucks getting second but I am having a blast wheeling this hard. The pace was unreal fast today and it was rad to do it for 12 laps with someone that was so equally matched. It’s a challenge and makes me hungry.”

Keegan Kincaid also battled his way through the Pro 2 field for a podium finish.

“Had a fun one battling with Kyle Kleiman yesterday! We will take a second with all the problems we kept encountering during the race.”

On day two, Kincaid struggled with mechincal issues but still managed to hold his own in the competitive field.

“Wasn’t the weekend we wanted but glad to still have the points lead going into one of my favorite tracks – Bark River. We battled mechanical problems both days and a flat caused from contact but were able to salvage a 4th. We will be back to 100% soon enough. We have the best team of guys to do so!”
