BILSTEIN Racers win at CHAMP Rounds 5 & 6

East Coast short course racing goes to Elk River Motorsports Park.

The Championship Off-Road short course series (CHAMP) made its way to Elk River Motorsports Park (ERX) for rounds 5 & 6 of the 2020 season. BILSTEIN racers made strong showings in multiple classes.

Title sponsor Pro2 racer Ryan Beat secured the silver in round 5 and his first win since stepping up a class from ProLite in round 6. Expanding his racing empire, Beat’s team racer Carson Parrish piloted the ProLite to a win as well.

“What a great day for the RB Motorsports team. Carson Parrish drove a flawless race to take his first win in ProLite…After starting dead last I made it to 2nd place in Pro 2. This team is bad ass! [In round 6] Got that first pro2 win! I can’t thank everyone enough! This one’s for you guys!” Beat recalled.

Fellow newcomer to the Pro2 category, BILSTEIN racer Mickey Thomas ran out of talent in round 5 and suffered a roll over. In round 6 Thomas came back with new motivation to get on the box. He qualified 1st and finished in second place.

“After a bad crash last night my awesome team of guys thrashed to get the truck running good and this morning we qualified our Mystik Lubes Pro2 backed by Krain Manufacturing in 1st! Our Maxxis Tires gave us the traction we needed to lay down the fastest lap.” Thomas said going into round 6.

Keegan Kincaid walked away from the weekend with a pair of medals too, and eagerly awaits the next round at Crandon. “Fortunate to walk away with a 3rd and 2nd this weekend after struggling with issues. Time to put in the work and head to my hometown track Crandon.”
