For years, American consumers have had to sit on the sidelines and watch the Japanese market receive the limited and exciting Subaru S-line performance vehicles. Feel left-out no more, because finally Subaru is releasing the 2019 STI S209 to North American enthusiasts!
Factory-equipped with premium BILSTEIN suspension, the S209 draws inspiration from the WRX STI Nürburgring Challenge Racecar. Stiffer coil springs are matched with aggressive shock valving for a tuned damping profile to provide un-surpassed sporty handling among the Subaru lineup.
Wider flared bodylines contain 20mm anti-roll bars with pillow-type link bushings. This wider stance also contains front and rear structural reinforcements to the crossmember and subframe. A flexible strut tower bar bridges the gap over the newly-tuned powerplant.
The venerable EJ25 engine is fitted from the factory with an HKS turbocharger and outputs a healthy 341 horsepower thanks to a force-fed diet of 18 psi of maximum boost.
